WeatherWise Hack 2026 is a global innovation challenge focused on building intelligent solutions for weather forecasting, disaster preparedness, and real-time emergency response. As climate change continues to intensify natural disasters, millions of people—especially in vulnerable and rural regions—lack access to reliable, timely, and actionable weather insights.

This hackathon invites developers, designers, and innovators to create impactful Android and web-based applications that help communities predict, prepare for, and respond to extreme weather events.

Requirements

🌍 The Challenge

Natural disasters such as floods, cyclones, heatwaves, and earthquakes are becoming more frequent and severe. Yet, critical gaps remain:

  • Limited access to real-time weather alerts
  • Poor disaster communication systems
  • Lack of offline-ready solutions for low-connectivity areas
  • Minimal use of AI for predictive risk analysis

Your mission: Build solutions that can save lives, reduce damage, and improve resilience through technology.

 

🧠 Tracks

Participants can choose to build in one or more of the following tracks:

🌧️ Weather Intelligence

Create smart forecasting tools, hyperlocal weather apps, and data-driven dashboards.

🚨 Disaster Alerts & Response

Develop systems for real-time alerts, emergency coordination, and rescue support.

📡 Offline & Rural Solutions

Design low-bandwidth or offline-first tools such as SMS-based alerts for underserved communities.

🤖 AI & Data Innovation

Leverage AI/ML, satellite data, and predictive analytics to forecast risks and disasters.
